Patrick Salmon, from the Kellogg admissions office, recently posted a timely reminder and some advice for all applicants regarding academic transcripts.
He correctly points out that while you are likely focused on your school research and application essays, you don’t want to put off gathering your transcripts until the last minute. He advises:
Since your transcripts will not change it is better to obtain them now, rather than while you’re finishing multiple essays, contacting your recommenders and meeting deadlines.
Be sure to check the transcript policies and requirements for each school that you are applying to.
For example, Kellogg requires you to upload scanned copies of your transcripts during the application process and then provide hard copies only after you are accepted and choose to enroll.
