Whether you have already received an interview invitation or are anticipating one, this MBA Prep Step™ will help you prepare for interview day. We tell MBA Prep School students to think of the admissions interview as the final exam in the application process; in final exam terms, the units in this section of the website will cover what you are going to be tested on and how to leverage the content and themes you have created for your application by using the MBA Prep Steps™ to excel in your admissions interview.
The interview preparation process is very similar to preparing to write your essays. The obvious difference is that you will be delivering your answers in a conversation with admissions officers, alumni, or student interviewers. Though the communication medium is different, your goals are the same – you want to provide evidence of your general management potential, career readiness, leadership, fit qualities, and points of difference.
We like to distinguish between two broad objectives when it comes to interviewing: proving you qualify and proving you fit. With those two objectives in mind, your preparation process is summarized in the figure below:

In this final section of our website, we will focus on helping you to understand the admissions interview and provide an overview of the questions you need to prepare for, including Qualifying Questions, Fit Questions, and a few others.
Helping you perfect your delivery is beyond the scope of this website. To perfect your delivery, you’ll want to practice your responses on your own and complete a mock interview or two with friends and family or with an experienced admissions consultant at MBA Prep School.
