Below are testimonials from just some of Chryssa’s successful clients!
Admitted to HBS, Stanford and Tuck
Working with Chryssa was absolutely rewarding. Her inputs throughout the application process were not only crucial in enabling me to submit strong applications but also in building my own knowledge around the process. Chryssa’s counsel was invaluable as she thoughtfully and patiently helped me draw out the key things I wanted to convey in my applications. She is extremely knowledgeable and very easy to relate to, which made it easy for me to be open in ideating with her.
When we started working together, we were fairly close to my dream school’s first round deadline, and while I wanted to run at a million miles an hour to get it done, Chryssa was super helpful in slowing me down to nail the basics before we proceeded any further. She took a keen interest in all aspects of my application and was available to answer questions at all times, which was especially helpful to me as I was in a different time zone. We also did several very thorough mock interviews that helped me gain confidence and feel well prepared for the real interviews.
Not only was I able to submit everything on time, but I also managed to get into my top two schools – HBS and Stanford GSB — thanks to Chryssa’s help. I cannot recommend Chryssa highly enough!
Accepted into Wharton/Lauder
I give Chryssa my highest possible recommendation. She was instrumental in demystifying an extremely competitive MBA admissions process, and helping me put together the best application possible. Coming from a non-traditional background and applying from abroad, it was important to have somebody who understood that and could help highlight, translate and contextualize my strengths. I was gunning for Wharton’s prestigious Lauder joint-degree program, and Chryssa’s patience, guidance and inside perspective was essential in achieving my dream. Thank you, Chryssa!
Accepted into Wharton, MIT, and Tuck (all with scholarships!)
Chryssa was top-notch. She was really able to identify my strengths (and weaknesses!) and translate my entrepreneurial career goals into tailored material for each school. I think I initially underestimated the amount of introspection, reflection, and story-telling that business schools are looking for (and I’ve also never been a stellar writer). Chryssa worked with me to articulate my vision and pull together very disparate pieces of my story (from my less-than-successful entrepreneurial venture out of college, to my work at a clean energy company, to being a professional athlete / Olympic hopeful most recently). Together we were able to put together a compelling application package, but it was a lot of work! Chryssa’s guidance was instrumental in making it all flow and providing structure.
Beyond being instrumental in the essay-writing and application preparation, she also helped me prepare me for later stages of the application process, including the interview. I went into my Wharton, MIT, and Tuck interviews with confidence. In the end, I was accepted to all three with significant scholarships on offer. I chose MIT because it was a near full-ride (and a great program!). Chryssa was a true asset in this whole process and I am grateful to have worked with her.
Accepted to INSEAD, LBS, HEC Paris, and Oxford Said
Chryssa really was the keystone to my whole MBA application journey. With her help, I was admitted to my dream program – INSEAD!
Like anyone, I had a number of worries as I started my applications. For example, I was coming from a consulting background post undergrad (data driven business strategy and marketing analytics) and was worried about differentiating myself and standing out from the crowd in the MBA application process. Additionally, I’m European by birth, and although I’d lived in the US for 9+ years at the time of my applications, I wanted to use the MBA as an avenue to spend time back in Europe and potentially recruit there for jobs post-MBA. I planned to apply only to European programs, but I was worried that this might narrow the field too much.
Chryssa spent a significant amount of time with me learning about my professional accomplishments and future goals. Before we began to put anything on paper, we really worked through the story together. She listened carefully to my concerns and together, through discussion, we crafted ways to address them. Chryssa encouraged me to really reflect on my future career goals, and to be ambitious in the way I put them down on paper for admissions consideration. She helped me – over several iterations – to build succinct essays that told a tight story. She was also super helpful in interview prep – she’s obviously done a lot of interviewing and coaching and really helped me present myself and my story to interviewers. I was so much more confident going into it knowing that I had mocked with Chryssa beforehand.
Chryssa also helped me feel confident in my decision to follow my intuition and apply to top-tier European programs. This was no mistake, and with strong application materials in hand, I was admitted everywhere I applied! I chose INSEAD because it allowed me to complete the MBA in 1 year, and spend time on the Singapore and Fontainebleau campuses, as well as do an exchange at Wharton! All in all, I could not be happier.
