Carrie has spent her career alternating between writing and business ventures, never sure if she’s more of an MBA with a creative streak or a creative person who somehow managed to survive corporate finance classes. Either way, she’s happy to be working with MBA Prep School.
Carrie has helped people get admitted to all of the top business schools — HBS, Stanford, Wharton, Kellogg — among others.
Prior to joining MBA Prep School, Carrie was a consultant with McKinsey & Company, where she focused on understanding how macro- and micro-trends can be incorporated in strategic plans. She has also spent time as a writer and editorial consultant at The Atlantic, a freelance television producer, and marketing strategist. She has started four different companies, taught GMAT to hundreds of students, and co-authored the definitive (and humorous!) guide to surviving business school. In addition to her work with MBA applicants, Carrie is also a screenwriter and stand-up comic.
She holds an A.B. in Social Studies from Harvard University and an MBA from Columbia University. While at Columbia, Carrie focused much of her efforts on Follies, the school’s semi-annual comedy show, for which she directed, acted, and made some pretty poor attempts at dancing. She frequently enjoyed her membership in the Wine Society and only regrets that she didn’t take more school-sponsored trips.
